Sandvik Mining and Construction Zambia invites capable and compliant transport service providers to submit applications for the provision of cross-border transport services across Central and Southern Africa. The services include handling both general cargo and heavy mining equipment, with required transport routes including Durban to Kitwe and Solwezi Zambia, Johannesburg to Kitwe and Solwezi, and Walvis Bay, Namibia to Kitwe Zambia. The scope of work includes transporting mining equipment, components, parts, and consumables, ensuring reliable cross-border operations with a GPS-tracked fleet, and providing goods-in-transit insurance coverage. A minimum fleet size of 5 trucks suitable for cross-border operations biweekly is required, along with at least 2 abnormal-load/low-bed units for heavy equipment. Mandatory compliance documents include a company profile, certificate of incorporation, tax clearance certificate, TPIN, valid cross-border permits and licenses, goods-in-transit insurance, fleet ownership or lease agreements, roadworthy certificates, SHEQ policy, and past performance references.
