Description:
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is seeking to hire a consulting firm or a consortium (“Consultant”) to support the design and implementation of a strategic Investment Mapping connected to the Lobito Corridor in Zambia. The focus will be on the provinces where the Lobito Corridor passes, including the Copperbelt and Northwestern, as well as the Central Province which has close proximity to the Corridor. The Consultant will be responsible for mapping existing/planned and identifying current and potential private sector investment opportunities, existing and potential anchor investors, and key local SMEs connected to these value chains.The objective of this assignment is to conduct a comprehensive mapping of existing and potential private sector-led investment activities and opportunities in Zambia along the Lobito Corridor, focusing on private sector actors (anchor investors and SMEs), potential Private Sector Participation (PSP) models (including PPPs).The mapping exercise will be conducted through desk review, site visits and stakeholder consultations across the main provinces through which the Corridor runs, namely: Copperbelt, North-Western, as well as those provinces with close proximity, e.g., the Central Province.
