• Description:
• Construction of Mazabuka Toll Plaza. The Toll Plaza is located along T1 between Chikankata Turn-Off and Mazabuka. The construction period is 180 days. The works will comprise of but not limited to: o Construction of Mazabuka Toll Plaza includes the following main project components: ➢ Civil Engineering for Traffic Construction (Plaza Area: Approach / Departure zone Queue / Recovery zone; Toll Island; Three Toll Booths per direction (North/South); One over size lane for each direction; Concrete approach pavement; etc) ➢ Buildings and other facilities (Flat Plaza canopy covering about 16m top of the toll booth section Control building having reception, control room, supervisors- room, accounts room (with walk in strong room) rest area, police room, holding cell, shower and toilet; Holding parking zones for both trucks and vehicles; Staff parking area, Borehole and overhead tank, Septic tank and soak away, etc) ➢ Tolling System ➢ Power supply and lighting including Standby generator, Electrical substation ➢ Signal light system for traffic and tolling ➢ Surveillance system ➢ ITS system The bidding document in English Language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of USD100 or K2,500.00. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:30 a.m. hours local time on Friday 22nd March, 2024. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders- The RDA shall conduct a site visit will be held on Thursday 29th February, 2024 and the bidders are requested to meet at the project site at 10:00 hours. A pre-bid meeting will be held at Mazabuka Town Council to clarify all issues that bidders may raise. The timing of the pre-bid meeting shall be determined by RDA after the site visit. 8. Sealed bids clearly marked “RDA/CE/OICB/001/2024: TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MAZABUKA TOLL PLAZA IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE OF ZAMBIA” and accompanied by a Bid Security of USD 50,000.00 (USD: Fifty thousand) or ZMW 1,000,000.00 (One million Zambian Kwacha)., must be deposited in the tender box situated at the Road Development Agency Headquarters, Plot 33, corner of Government and Fairley roads, Ridgeway, Lusaka on or before Friday 22 nd March, 2024 at 10:30 hours.
