Description:
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Zambia is seeking an experienced consultant/ consulting firm to support the development of a comprehensive and strategic skills mapping of Zambian diaspora professionals who possess expertise relevant to climate change adaptation and mitigation. This initiative will provide critical data that will directly inform the design of targeted diaspora engagement strategies and the specifications for the development of digital platforms or databases that will support various climate action initiatives in Zambia. Despite the diasporan role in national development, Zambia continues to grapple with identifying the nationals in the diaspora who could positively contribute towards climate change and adaption that will enhance national development. The project, with support from IOM Development Fund, aims to implement a comprehensive skills mapping exercise to identify Zambian diaspora professionals with expertise relevant to climate change adaptation and mitigation.The consultant will play a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for the data collection exercise that will feed into the development of a national Database of the Zambian expertise in the Diaspora.
